Newsstand: Michigan women's hoops grabs win over MSU

Michigan Wolverines women’s basketball grabbed an upset win on Sunday at No. 20 Michigan State in East Lansing, scoring a 71-61 victory to move to 17-7 on the year and 8-5 in Big Ten play.
The Wolverines’ freshmen guards starred in the game with Syla Swords’ 19 points leading all scorers. Olivia Olson finished with 14 while Mila Holloway and Te’Yala Delfosse had 10 points and 6 points, respectively.
“Our freshmen are a pretty darn good group,” Michigan coach Kim Barnes Arico said after the game, via The Michigan Daily. “And they showed their toughness tonight.”

The Wolverines are next in action on Wednesday night in Ann Arbor with a visit from the Indiana Hoosiers. The game tips off at 7 p.m. ET and will be broadcast via B1G+ on streaming.
