The Michigan Wolverines are looking to get back on the horse and grab a victory in Week 3 coming off a tough loss to Texas. With Arkansas State coming into town, the possibility for a get-right game heading into a showdown with USC in Week 4 is on the table.

According to the latest odds from FanDuel Sportsbook, Michigan is a 23.5-point favorite for its third game of the season with the over/under set at 45.5 points.

Head coach Sherrone Moore said after the game Saturday that resolve will be the name of the game for Michigan moving forward.

“My message to the team was that it’s going to take resolve. We haven’t lost here in a while. We don’t like losing. We didn’t lose at all last year. We lost once, twice the year before. So for us, it’s like you don’t ever want to lose, so you’re never thinking about the loss. But for them and for us, I just think about them. I think about how they feel. What are we going to do to get better? That’s all we’re worried about right now. We’re going to take everything we can on all three phases to get better, and every little piece. My message to them was we’ve got to do it together.

“You can’t finger-point, and you find out who you are on the team when adversity strikes. To watch our guys at the end fight, the offense fight, go down and score, they easily could have just kicked it in, and our defense do the same thing. The second half, they don’t allow another lot of touchdowns, which we don’t want, but they at least fought. So that gives you some sign that there’s resolve there. But now we’ve got to put things in peace so the first half doesn’t go the way it did.”

Saturday’s game kicks off at 12 p.m. ET and will be broadcast via Big Ten Network.

Michigan quote of the day

“I don’t think I’ve had as big of an emotional moment doing this job as I did when I was standing on the Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy sideline on Friday night. On300 Michigan running back Donovan Johnson ran directly towards me and scored his first touchdown in two years. I know I’m not supposed to, but I couldn’t hold back cheering. Words can’t describe what that moment probably meant for Johnson. He spent more than a year rehabbing a torn ACL, saw the majority of schools drop out of his recruitment and tumbled in the rankings. He was cast aside by most, but Michigan running backs coach Tony Alford never stopped believing, and neither did Johnson. He persevered through everything, fought his way back on the field and didn’t complain when he hardly got any carries the first few weeks of the season. On Friday night, it all paid off as Johnson scored that memorable touchdown run to go along with more than 100 yards in IMG’s win over Cocoa (Fla.) High.”
