The Michigan Wolverines are busy reshaping their roster via the NCAA transfer portal, but one of its former contributors has found a new home inside the Big Ten Conference. Junior wide receiver Tyler Morris announced on Saturday that he will head to Bloomington to play for head coach Curt Cignetti and the Indiana Hoosiers.

Morris, who has one seasons of eligibility remaining, hauled in 39 catches for 470 yards and three touchdowns in his Michigan career. During the 2023 campaign, he had 13 grabs for 197 yards and a touchdown, a 38-yard reception in the 27-20 overtime win over the Alabama Crimson Tide. This year, he led all Michigan wide receivers in yards with 248 on 23 receptions with two touchdowns. He did not play in the ReliaQuest Bowl win over Alabama.

Michigan has added a wide receiver in the portal this offseason already. Former Indiana wideout Donoven McCulley joined the program, making a 1-for-1 swap between the Wolverines and Hoosiers. U-M is also in on other transfer portal wideouts as it looks to upgrade its room in Yale’s David Pantelis and Clemson’s Troy Stellato.

The changes are part of a bigger plan on the offensive side of the ball with head coach Sherrone Moore hiring Chip Lindsey as the team’s new offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.
