Offseason Movement: Michigan adds staffer to recruiting department

Michigan has added Daniel Litke to its growing recruiting department.
Litke will serve as a scouting and recruiting assistant for the Wolverines and is now officially in the U-M directory.
Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore has shown a commitment to modernizing his staff over the last year.
This move should come as no surprise considering Michigan lost two recruiting staffers this winter — Coleman Walker is now the Director of Player Personnel for Washington State, while Cam Hughes is now the Assistant Director of Player Personnel at Jacksonville State.
It appears Litke will help fill those voids.
Litke joins the Michigan staff after spending almost three years as a scouting and recruiting intern for Kansas. Litke also spent three months in the NFL as a training camp intern with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2021.
Litke graduated from Kansas with a degree in sports management in 2023.
Michigan has made plenty of recent changes to its recruiting department. The Wolverines reassigned Albert Karschnia and promoted Sam Popper to Director of Recruiting. U-M also brought on John Collins and Jack Dunaway as Assistant Directors of Recruiting. Every on-field assistant coach was assigned a recruiting staffer to help with position recruiting.
Michigan finished with 24 signees in its 2025 recruiting class, which ranked No. 6 nationally, per the On3 Industry team rankings. The class is ranked No. 3 in the Big Ten.
