On3 RPM: Five recruits Michigan leads for after another big visit weekend

Michigan hosted several top targets in the 2026 and 2027 recruiting classes over the weekend. Here is a look at five recruits the Wolverines lead for, per the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.
QB Kavian Bryant, Palestine (Texas) Westwood (2027)
Bryant, the No. 1 ranked quarterback and No. 26 overall recruit nationally in 2027, made his first visit to Michigan over the weekend. Now, the Wolverines have the lead on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine with a 50.0 percent chance of landing him. Bryant enjoyed meeting with the staff and was impressed with Michigan’s new look offense under first-year coordinator Chip Lindsey. Michigan is certainly off to a good start here but will have to fend off the likes of Baylor, TCU, Tennessee, Texas A&M, and Texas Tech.
WR CJ Sadler, Detroit (Mich.) Cass Tech
Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore has made it a point to keep in-state talent home. Sadler is arguably the best prospect in U-M’s backyard this cycle and would be a dynamic addition to the offense. The Top 100 prospect has visited Michigan more than any other school and was back on campus over the weekend. The Wolverines have the commanding lead on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine with a 94.7 percent chance of landing him. Remember, Sadler is also close to new Michigan quarterback Bryce Underwood. While U-M has the inside track, Colorado, Oregon and USC are making runs.
TE Zac Fares, Las Vegas (Nev.) Arbor View (2027)
Michigan tight ends coach Steve Casula is making Fares an early priority in the 2027 recruiting class. Casula spent plenty of time out west during the winter contact period and was able to get Fares back on campus over the weekend. This marked his second trip to Ann Arbor as Fares also visited last summer. Michigan has the early lead on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine with a 59.8 percent chance of landing him. Michigan will have to keep working hard here, as Fares holds offers from Georgia, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oregon, USC and others.

OL Leo Delaney, Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day
Our Ethan McDowell was the first recruiting reporter to log an On3 Prediction in favor of Michigan for Delaney. Others have followed suit, and the Wolverines now have the heavy lead on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine with an 82.0 percent chance of landing him. Michigan checked all the boxes for Delaney on his weekend visit and will get him back on campus for an OV on June 13. It wouldn’t be surprising to see Michigan win Delaney over soon. However, Clemson, North Carolina, Tennessee and a few others are still involved.
EDGE Recarder Kitchen, Muskegon (Mich.) High (2027)
As mentioned, Moore is doing whatever it takes to seal the borders and keep top local talent at home. Ranked as the No. 4 EDGE and No. 11 overall prospect nationally, Kitchen may very well be the best recruit in a talented 2027 class in the state of Michigan. Kitchen has visited Michigan three times, and the Wolverines have the heavy lead on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine with a 93.9 percent chance of landing him. Michigan State, Notre Dame and Penn State are all playing catch up to the Wolverines early on.
