Podcast mailbag: Sherrone Moore fallout, Yaxel Lendeborg Plans and more

The Michigan Wolverines football and basketball teams have their storylines percolating at the moment, but the month of May has been fairly quiet in terms of earth-shattering news. This was a perfect time for us to open up the floor for questions in a loose and free-flowing Monday edition of The Wolverine podcast.
TheWolverine.com’s Anthony Broome, Clayton Sayfie and Chris Balas discuss a variety of topics in a mailbag episode, including the potential Sherrone Moore suspension, Yaxel Lendeborg contingency plans and more.

”I think Sherrone Moore is more the victim of being the Michigan head coach at this time,” Balas said on the show. “The NCAA is looking for a pound of flesh. They gotta punish somebody. They aren’t gonna take away wins. At least that’s what everybody said on both sides. As everybody has always said, the NCAA can do what they wanna do. That’s never been on the table from what we understand and what we’ve been told by people on both sides and what Pete Thamel and ESPN and everybody else has reported as well.
“Postseason ban was something that was brought up a long, long time ago and disappeared quickly. It’s very clear that that’s something that Michigan would fight and that has not really been on the table either. So what’s left to punish. You’ve got Jim Harbaugh, who’s going to get a show-cause most likely. You’ve got Connor Stallions, who is undoubtedly gonna get a show-cause, and then you’ve got the head coach at Michigan. And one way to punish Michigan is to punish the head coach. And this is one way to get that pound of flesh. So it’s crazy if you look at the things that he’s done compared to what goes on around the country.
