The hosts also discussed the most interesting things they’ve heard during media availability from Los Angeles.

“Sadly, for me, it was about [senior wide receiver] Roman Wilson talking about how Michigan’s NIL, which we had a report on today, is not quite up to par. He was asked about it and kind of said, ‘Look, it’s not good enough compared to what my friends are making at other schools, and some of the guys on this team aren’t getting paid. It’s not like we’re getting paid monthly checks and stuff like that, like we’re hearing at other schools.’ So, that was disappointing to me.

“The other thing, I guess, is Sherrone Moore talking about Alabama’s defense having a draft pick at every position — starting position — on defense. Maybe he was embellishing, maybe not, but he talked about the athleticism. It’s very clear to me that these Michigan guys think that this is the best team that they will have faced all year, at least from a personnel standpoint. Can they put it all together, can Michigan take advantage of some of their weaknesses? We’re going to find out. But a lot of the pressure to me is on the Michigan offensive line. If they’re healthy … that was another big thing I picked up. These guys were all banged up. Drake Nugent had a high-ankle sprain, but he’s playing better now too. It’s going to be fun to see how it plays out on Monday.”

“For me, it’s the fact that apparently the Catapult video service is one of the most incompetently run organizations in all of college sports, which is not surprising given the reported affiliations of a lot of people in leadership over there,” Broome said. “Alabama not watching game film on iPads. Michigan not watching game film on iPads. And some people took that initially as a shot at the scandal with Michigan, but it sounds like this is something that has been a concern with a lot of schools, going back to November.”
