Pregame updates: Michigan vs. Rutgers
• 7:15 p.m. — Michigan and Rutgers have gone back into their locker rooms for the final time before the game. The national anthem will soon be played.
• 6:56 p.m. — Confirmed from a program spokesman: Michigan graduate left tackle Ryan Hayes, junior EDGE Jaylen Harrell, junior safety Makari Paige and junior wide receiver Roman Wilson will all not play. Backup junior linebacker Kalel Mullings is also out.
• 6:52 p.m. — The Michigan linemen have taken the field. Graduate left tackle Ryan Hayes is not warming up. Expect junior Jeffrey Persi to take his place if he does not play. Senior Karsen Barnhart is expected to start at right tackle with Trente Jones out (we have not spotted him).
• 6:50 p.m. — Michigan junior safety Makari Paige is not warming up with the defensive backs. It does not appear, at this point, that he made the trip. Roman Wilson is not with the wide receivers.
• 6:35 p.m. — Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy is out throwing. He and position mates Alan Bowman, Davis Warren and Alex Orji all traveled.
• 6:31 p.m. — Michigan is wearing white jerseys with white pants and maize accessories, including maize socks.
• 6:28 p.m. — Michigan junior wide receiver Roman Wilson was not out catching kicks and punts like he normally is. Stay tuned for more on his status.

• 6:26 p.m. — Michigan players, mostly special teams, have taken the field in their white on white uniform combination. The Wolverines haven’t sported that look since last year’s early-October game at Nebraska, a 32-29 win.
• 6:10 p.m. — Michigan graduate cornerback Gemon Green, who was injured and in concussion protocol after being attacked by MSU players postgame last weekend, made the trip to Piscataway. How much he will play is uncertain, according to sources. We will continue to monitor his situation.

Series Facts: This will be the ninth meeting between Michigan and Rutgers, two of college football’s oldest programs. Michigan leads the all-time series 7-1 with victories in the last seven games. Rutgers won the inaugural meeting at home in 2014 by a 26-24 score. U-M won last season’s game 20-13 at Michigan Stadium.
