Projected rookie contracts for every Michigan football 2025 NFL Draft pick

The Michigan Wolverines sent seven players to the 2025 NFL Draft, and now their former stars are cashing in on rookie contracts across the league.
From top-10 picks like Mason Graham and Colston Loveland to mid-round selections like Josaiah Stewart and Kalel Mullings, here’s a full breakdown of what each Michigan draft pick is projected to make on their first NFL deal.
All slotted numbers are via Spotrac except where noted.
DT Mason Graham: No. 5 overall, Cleveland Browns
Total value: $40,806,872 (before fifth-year option)
Before we get into the rookie scale numbers, we give a refresher on how the fifth-year option works. If a team likes one of its first-round players, it can extend their rookie contract by a year. Without a Pro Bowl appearance, guys are paid a market averaged based on their position and how much playing time they see. If a player makes a Pro Bowl (or Pro Bowls), they would get their salary bumped to the transition tag or franchise tag, respectively. All fifth-year options are fully guaranteed and must be picked up prior to the fourth year on the contract.
Now back to the Michigan defensive tackle, who will make a projected $40.8m on his rookie contract over four years. He will earn $7.4m in year one, $9.3m in year two, $11.1m in year three and $12.9m in year four.
TE Colston Loveland: No. 10 overall, Chicago Bears
Total value: $26,595,188 (before fifth-year option)
Loveland’s top-10 selection netted him a few million more dollars than where he was projected to go, somewhere in the teens or into the 20s. He will make $4.8m his rookie season, $6.04m in year two, $7.25m in year three and $8.46m in year four.
DT Kenneth Grant: No. 13 overall, Miami Dolphins
Total value: $21,924,122 (before fifth-year option)
The Michigan space-eating defensive tackle went a little higher than expected, netting him a few extra million, too. Grant will make $3.99m in year one, $4.98m in year two, $5.9m in year three and $6.98m in year four.
CB Will Johnson: No. 47 overall, Arizona Cardinals
Total value: $9,004,328
Johnson’s fall was one of the most costly in the draft class. Once thought of as a top-10 prospect, an injury history dropped him into the middle stages of the second round. As a result, he has no fifth-year option and everything to prove.

The Michigan star will make $1.7m this season, $2.1m in year two, $2.56m in year three and $2.99m in year four.
EDGE Josaiah Stewart: No. 90 overall, Los Angeles Rams
Total value: $6,275.414
Josaiah Stewart has signed his rookie contract, averaging an annual payout of $1,568,853, according to Over The Cap. He received a signing bonus of $1,203,936, which is also the fully guaranteed portion of the deal. In 2025, Stewart will carry a salary cap hit of $840,000 and earn the same amount in cash payout for the season.
RB Kalel Mullings: No. 188 overall, Tennessee Titans
Total value: $4,438,059
Mullings has signed his rookie contract, but financial terms are not available. If it holds with projections, he would make a little less than $4.5m over the course of his rookie contract. The Michigan back would be set to make $899k in year one, $1.06m in year two, $1.17m in year three and $1.29m in year four.
OT Myles Hinton: No. 191, Philadelphia Eagles
Total value: $4,432,832
Hinton signed his deal, locking him into $4.4m over the course of his rookie contract. He makes $898k in year one, $1.063m in year two, $1.17m in year three and $1.29m in year four.
