Signee Spotlight: Top 100 WR Jacob Washington on sticking with Michigan, Ron Bellamy, more
The Wolverine’s EJ Holland sat down with Top 100 New Orleans (La.) Archbishop Shaw wide receiver Jacob Washington to talk about signing with Michigan and more.
Watch the full Q&A at the end of this story.
Washington Recruitment
Michigan desperately needed a big-bodied wide receiver this cycle and pushed hard for Washington on his official visit this summer.
U-M wide receivers coach Ron Bellamy, a fellow Louisiana native, led the way in this recruitment and built a special connection with Washington.
Bellamy sealed the deal during Washington’s time in Ann Arbor. While he made a late visit to Missouri, Washington stayed with the Wolverines and signed with U-M on Wednesday.
“The offense is definitely a powerhouse,” Washington said. “Everything the team does from the wide receivers to the running backs to the tight ends to the quarterbacks to the offensive line moves in one smooth wheel.”
