Six Michigan football stars taken in latest NFL mock draft simulation

The Michigan Wolverines will have a top-heavy representation at the 2025 NFL Draft with as many as four potential first-round picks. Defensive tackles Mason Graham and Kenneth Grant, cornerback Will Johnson and tight end Colston Loveland are all highly regarded and could lead the way in the event.
In that group, there also appears to be one day two selection and one day three pick. Everyone else in the running would have to find an opportunity as an undrafted free agent.
The following full 7-round simulation was run using the Pro Football Focus mock draft machine.
Defensive tackle Mason Graham: Jacksonville Jaguars (First round, No. 5 overall)
2024 stats: 46 total tackles, 3.5 sacks, 1 pass defended (12 games)
Graham has not budged from most mocks projecting him to land with the Jaguars. The argument can be made that he is one of the safest non-quarterback selections in the entire event. Just flip on the Ohio State game from this year.
Cornerback Will Johnson: Cincinnati Bengals (First round, No. 17 overall)
2024 stats: 14 total tackles, 2 INT (2 for TD), 3 passes defended (6 games)
Johnson was once thought of as a potential top-five pick in the class before injuries limited him during the 2024 season, along with the pre-draft process. He is set to hold a private workout for NFL teams on April 14.
Defensive tackle Kenneth Grant: Tampa Bay Buccaneers (First round, No. 19 overall)
2024 stats: 32 total tackles, 3 sacks, 2 fumbles recovered, 5 passes defended (12 games)
The buzz in NFL circles is that Grant did not show as much during workouts than they may have thought, but he still feels like a likely first-round pick. At worst, he will go early in the second round. There’s still a lot to unlock here with the massive tackle, who is a dancing bear on the field.

Tight end Colston Loveland: Los Angeles Chargers (First round, No. 22 overall)
2024 stats: 56 receptions for 582 yards, 5 TD (10 games)
This fit makes too much sense, right? Jim Harbaugh could land another Michigan star he coached to help build out the roster in Los Angeles. Last year, it was linebacker Junior Colson and wide receiver Cornelius Johnson.
EDGE Josaiah Stewart: Arizona Cardinals (Third round, No. 78 overall)
2024 stats: 33 total tackles, 8.5 sacks, 2 forced fumbles (11 games)
Josaiah Stewart still has second-round buzz, and reportedly took a top-30 visit to the local Detroit Lions recently. However, he slides into the third and lands in Arizona in the sim we ran.
RB Kalel Mullings: New England Patriots (Fifth round, No. 144 overall)
2024 stats: 185 carries for 948 yards, 12 touchdowns, 6 receptions for 35 yards (12 games)
Mullings’ work during the pre-draft process has been much more of the meeting than physical variety, but he has a chance to add some value and depth to an NFL team that wants to fill out its running back rotation. There is plenty left in the tank for Michigan’s bellcow.
