Spring has sprung, and the Wolverines are making progress. Offensive coordinator and line coach Sherrone Moore is in charge of the offense, but he’s getting plenty of help.

“As far as play-calling duties last year, I’m not going to talk about the specifics, so good try,” the Michigan O.C. said with a grin. “So you know, I was part of the play calling last year, but, this year, I have a great staff.

“First of all, the guys that I’ve worked with — coach Kirk Campbell, coach Grant Newsome, coach Mike Hart, coach Ron Bellamy, all the GAs, all the analysts … I have an incredible group of guys that are all working in the same line, same vision, to help us win championships, to beat Ohio State, to beat Michigan State to beat Penn State, to win the Big Ten their end goal,” the Michigan assistant said. “So, we’re all working on the same vision to do that.

“Is it a little bit more work? A little bit, but this is something I’ve prepared for my whole life. I’m motivated to do and I’m just going to continue to work and only keep my head down and do what I know best.”

That’s grinding and demanding the best of his group. It’s paid off for Moore, one of the rising young stars in the profession, and for Michigan.

We talk about the offense and more in chat.
