Why I'm joining The Wolverine
This is a full circle moment for me.
When I was a senior in high school in 2017, covering Texas high school football as an intern for a site called texashsfootball.com, I met EJ Holland in the press box of a playoff game between Port Neches-Groves and Crosby.
EJ and I have remained close since, and he’s always been someone in the recruiting industry I’ve admired. All through college, EJ told me he’d come get me when the time came.
Now as I sit here, in my final semester of college, the time is here.
I started writing as a senior in high school. I quickly picked up a passion for recruiting and when I enrolled at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2018, I joined 247Sports as an intern covering Nebraska football and recruiting. In my time in college, I’ve also held positions with Hudl, The Old Coach and Athlete Nation covering high school and college athletics from a variety of perspectives.
This past summer, Bobby Burton and Jamie Oakes scooped me up and added me to the National News Desk here at On3. I’ve gotten to see first-hand the monster that Shannon Terry, Bobby, Jamie and so many others are building here at On3. There’s no limit to what this could be in a couple years as the network grows and the recruiting database continues to develop.

Now, I return to my passion: recruiting. I have the opportunity to cover one of the most storied programs in the nation for the largest and most iconic Michigan fansite and magazine, which I will never take that for granted.
I look forward to providing you the most in-depth recruiting coverage possible, learning from EJ and rest of the team here, and getting to know you, Michigan faithful.
Let’s ride.
