CJ Sadler, the No. 1 recruit in Michigan and the No. 83 recruit in the nation, will visit U-M Saturday, he shared with The Wolverine Friday afternoon. The elite, versatile athlete from Detroit (Mich.) Cass Tech will be on campus for the first known time this year.

Michigan is the heavy favorite for Sadler in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM). He’s the No. 3 athlete in the nation and checks in at 5-9, 170 pounds. The in-state star could be a slot receiver at the next level but has the talent and skill set to play defensive back as well. He wants to line up on both sides of the ball in college.

Sadler is a frequent visitor and has stopped by Michigan more than any other school. He was previously scheduled to visit Oregon this weekend but will now spend a day Saturday in Ann Arbor.

Earlier this year, the local prospect told On3’s Steve Wiltfong that he’s high on “Colorado, Michigan, Auburn, Tennessee, O-State (Ohio State) and a couple other schools.” He also holds offers from LSU, Alabama, Florida, USC and many others. A total of 23 Power four programs have extended scholarships.

Saturday’s visit will be his first known trip to Ann Arbor since the Texas game last fall. His most recent public visit was an October stop at LSU.

The Top 100 athlete plays quarterback, defensive back and wide receiver for Cass Tech. He’s one of the most versatile athletes in the nation and is incredibly dynamic with the ball in his hands.

“I can play both sides — wide receiver and corner,” Sadler told On3 nearly a year ago. “It doesn’t really matter. A lot of people say offense. I think I want to play offense. But I also want to play both sides of the ball. That’s always been one of my dreams.”

During his junior season, he caught 51 passes over 12 games for 828 yards and 9 touchdowns, averaging 16.2 yards per catch. Sadler also threw the ball 11 times last , completing 100 percent of his attempts for 180 yards and 3 more scores. Defensively, he made 46 tackles (26 solo, 2 for loss), recording 1 sack and 1 interception.

Michigan holds three commitments so far in the 2026 cycle— three-star wide receiver Jaylen Pile, On300 cornerback Brody Jennings and three-star offensive lineman Bear McWhorter. Here’s the full visitors list for this weekend
