Top 100 DB Ivan Taylor flips commitment from Michigan to Alabama
Michigan has suffered a loss on the recruiting trail.
Top 100 Winter Garden (Fla.) West Orange defensive back Ivan Taylor flipped his commitment from Michigan to Alabama this week.
The move comes as no surprise as Taylor visited Alabama earlier this fall and seemed torn between the two schools — even after visiting Michigan again in late October.
“They are both great programs,” Taylor said. “They are both going in a great direction. I can’t say what’s good and bad about a program. Both have their highs and lows. It depends on what you are looking for and what you like. It’s never going to be a perfect decision… I definitely want to shut it down sooner rather than later. Honestly, it’s about communicating with God and trusting his process.”
Taylor originally gave Notre Dame a verbal pledge before switching his commitment to Michigan in early July. Now, Taylor will play his college ball at Alabama.
At 6-foot, 180 pounds, Taylor is ranked as the No. 7 safety an No. 60 overall prospect nationally. He is also ranked as the No. 9 overall recruit in the state of Florida.
