Top Michigan targets move up, down in new On3 rankings for 2026 recruiting class

On3 updated its rankings for the 2026 recruiting class on Monday afternoon. Here is a look at where some of Michigan’s top targets landed.

RB Savion Hiter, Mineral (Va.) Louisa County — Hiter moved up 25 spots from No. 45 to No. 20. He is one of Michigan’s top overall targets for next cycle and is set to visit this weekend. He named Michigan in his Top 5 along with Georgia, Ohio State, Penn State and Tennessee.

OL Darius Gray, Richmond (Va.) St. Christopher’s — Gray moved up 18 spots from No. 43 to No. 25. He visited Michigan in the spring and is looking to get back to Ann Arbor soon. Michigan is in the mix along with Georgia, Ohio State, Penn State, South Carolina and others.

DB Simeon Caldwell, Jacksonville (Fla.) Bolles — Caldwell moved up four spots from No. 49 to No. 45. He visited Michigan this summer and camped at both linebacker and safety. Michigan is on his short list along with Notre Dame, Ohio State, Texas and others.

DB Chauncey Kennon, Sarasota (Fla.) Booker — Kennon dropped 13 spots from No. 46 to No. 59. Kennon named Michigan in his Top 5 along with Florida, Florida State, Georgia and Miami. However, Kennon has yet to make a visit to Michigan.

WR Tyreek King, Knoxville (Tenn.) Catholic — King moved up 215 spots from No. 275 to No. 60. King named Michigan in his Top 8 along with Alabama, LSU, Ole Miss, Louisville, Missouri, Tennessee and Texas A&M. He visited Michigan over the summer.

RB Javian Osborne, Forney (Texas) High — Osborne moved down 38 spots from No. 23 to No. 61. Osborne visited Michigan in the summer and is set to get back to campus for the game against Oregon next month. Michigan and Texas appear to be out in front.

OL Tyler Merrill, Mechanicsburg (Pa.) Cumberland Valley — Merrill moved up three spots from No 76 to No. 73. While Notre Dame has the overwhelming lead on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Merrill has visited Michigan four times, including for the game against USC last month.

TE Brock Harris, Saint George (Utah) Pine View — Harris dropped seven spots from No. 67 to No. 74. Harris is one of Michigan’s top tight end targets next cycle and visited over the summer. Oregon currently leads on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

EDGE Jake Kreul, Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy — Kreul moved up 60 spots from No. 148 to No. 88. Kreul visited Michigan over the summer and has become a top priority for new defensive line coach Lou Esposito. Auburn, Miami, Oklahoma and others are all involved.

OL Gregory Patrick, Portage (Mich.) Northern — Patrick dropped 16 spots from No. 74 to No. 91. Patrick has visited Michigan six times, including for the game against Texas last month. Michigan State has the lead on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

DB Joey O’Brien, Wyndmoor (Pa.) La Salle — O’Brien moved up 99 spots from No. 203 to No. 104. O’Brien visited Michigan over the summer and is looking to get back this fall. Notre Dame has the heavy lead on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

OL Leo Delaney, Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day — Delaney dropped 32 spots from No. 89 to No. 121. Delaney visited Michigan over the summer and is now set to be back on campus this weekend. Clemson, Tennessee, South Carolina and others are involved as well.

DB Jett Washington, Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman — Washington moved up nine spots from No. 133 to No. 124. Washington made his first visit to Michigan last month for the game against USC. Ohio State lead on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

WR Travis Johnson, Chesapeake (Va.) Oscar Smith — Johnson dropped 27 spots from No. 111 to No. 138. Johnson made his first visit to Michigan last month for the game against Texas. Penn State leads on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

OL Carter Scruggs, Leesburg (Va.) Loudoun County — Scruggs dropped 17 spots from No. 126 to No. 143. Scruggs visited Michigan over the summer and is set to be back on campus this weekend. Alabama, Georgia, Penn State and others are also in the mix.

OL Malakai Lee, Honolulu (Hawaii) Kamehameha — Lee moved up 39 spots from No. 185 to No. 146. Lee visited Michigan over the summer and was back on campus last month for the game against USC. Michigan leads on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

WR Messiah Hampton, Rochester (N.Y.) Monroe — Hamptom went from three-star to No. 166. Hampton visited Michigan over the summer and is looking to get back soon. Penn State has the heavy lead on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

OL Marky Walbridge, Needham (Mass.) St. Sebastian’s — Walbridge dropped 42 spots from No. 137 to No. 179. Walbridge has already visited Michigan twice. Penn State and Michigan are at the top of the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

DL Jermaine Kinsler, Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic — Kinsler dropped 29 spots from No. 160 to No. 189. Kinsler made his first visit to Michigan for the game against Texas last month. Penn State leads on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

OL Felix Ojo, Mansfield (Texas) Lake Ridge — Ojo moved up from four-star to No. 202. Ojo made his first visit to Michigan this summer and is looking to get back for a game. Alabama, Texas, Oklahoma and others are all involved.

WR Nalin Scott, Powder Springs (Ga.) McEachern — Scott dropped 62 spots from No. 145 to No. 207. Scott made his first visit to Michigan for the game against USC last month. Georgia has the lead on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

TE Matt Ludwig, Billings (Mont.) West — Ludwig dropped 16 spots from No. 201 to No. 217. Ludwig visited Michigan over the summer and is set to get back on Nov. 23 for the game against Northwestern. Nebraska leads on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

EDGE Jackson Ford, Malvern (Pa.) Prep — Ford went from unranked to No. 218. Ford made his first visit to Michigan for the game against USC last month. Penn State has the lead on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

TE Mac Sutter, Dunlap (Ill.) High — Sutter dropped 68 spots from No. 161 to No. 229. Sutter visited Michigan in the spring and is looking to get back for a game this fall. Iowa has the heavy lead on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

WR CJ Sadler, Detroit (Mich.) Cass Tech — Salder dropped 32 spots from No. 213 to No. 245. Sadler has visited Michigan on numerous occasions and is looking at returning this weekend. Michigan has the lead on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

CB Dominick Kelly, Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy — Kelly fell 74 spots from No. 181 to No. 255. Kelly is committed to Georgia but made his first visit to Michigan last month for the game against Texas.

EDGE Carter Meadows, Washington (D.C.) Gonzaga — Meadows went from four-star to No. 261. Meadows made his first visit to Michigan for the game against USC last month. Penn State leads on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

RB Javian Mallory, Boca Raton (Fla.) West Boca — Mallory dropped 80 spots from No. 189 to No. 269. Mallory visited Michigan over the summer and is set to be back on Nov. 23 for the game against Northwestern. Michigan has the lead on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

DB Zech Fort, Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy — Fort dropped 18 spots from No. 270 to No. 288. Fort has visited Michigan three times. Alabama and Michigan are at the top of the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

DB Jaziel Hart, Roanoke (Va.) North Cross — Hart went from unranked to No. 292. Hart visited Michigan over the summer and returned for the game against USC last month. Penn State, South Carolina and Tennessee are other contenders.

DB Andre Clarke, Richmond (Va.) Hermitage — Clarke dropped 22 spots from No. 271 to No. 293. Clarke made his first visit to Michigan over the summer and is looking to get back this fall. Tennessee and Michigan are at the top of the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

TE JC Anderson, Decaturville (Ill.) Mt. Zion — Anderson dropped 65 spots from No. 235 to No. 300. Anderson has visited Michigan twice and is looking to get back this fall. Illinois leads on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.
