Two Michigan Signees Named 2021 MaxPreps All-Americans
Michigan defensive line signees Derrick Moore and Mason Graham have been named to the 2021 MaxPreps All-American team.
Moore and Graham earned second-team honors after dominant senior seasons.
Moore, who is ranked the No. 87 overall prospect in the country, per the On3 Conensus, was named the Under Armour All-America Game MVP over the weekend and notched 55 tackles, including 24 for loss, and 12 sacks as a senior at national powerhouse Baltimore (Md.) St. Frances.
Moore originally committed to Oklahoma but backed off his pledge to the Sooners late and inked with Michigan on National Signing Day last month. At 6-foot-4, 250 pounds, Moore projects as an edge rusher in Michigan’s defensive scheme.
On the flip side of the coin, Graham recorded 67 tackles, including 21 for loss, and 14 sacks for national powerhouse Anaheim (Calif.) Servite. What makes Graham’s senior season even more stellar is the fact that he posted these numbers in the Trinity League, arguably the toughest high school football conference in America.
A late riser on the recruiting trail, Graham flipped his commitment from Boise State to Michigan this fall. The Consensus four-star prospect is a great fit for the Wolverines as a three-technique and complements nose signee Kenneth Grant extremely well in the trenches.

Consensus five-star Seattle (Wash.) Rainer Beach offensive lineman Josh Conerly also made the second team and is the biggest remaining priority for Michigan in the 2022 recruiting class. Conerly made an official visit to U-M in September and recently listed the Wolverines in his final six.
Conerly is looking to make a decision at some point after the late window. His recruitment is set to go into March and potentially the summer.
Michigan signed 22 prospects during the early period and boasts the No. 9 recruiting class nationally this cycle.
