Valiant Management, Michigan players launch Wolverine+ NIL platform
In partnership with Valiant Management and REVEL Moments, Michigan Wolverines football players have launched Wolverine+, an NIL platform that will enable fans to financially support and engage with U-M athletes. It’s a subscription-based platform where subscribers have access to exclusive content and interactive experiences with Michigan student-athletes.
REVEL Moments and Valiant Management made the announcement Monday, and the Wolverine+ site is now live. A monthly subscription costs $7, and the organization promises that it will pay participating student-athletes at least an amount equal to 100 percent of subscription revenue received by the platform.
“While directly supporting student-athletes, subscribers will have access to a Wolverine+ exclusive content library and have a chance to interact with the student-athletes who are featured in each live experience,” a press release from REVEL and Valiant said. “The live experiences are produced events with moderators that are delivered on a state-of-the-art technology platform. This production approach allows fans to experience unique and truly authentic conversations with the humans behind the student-athletes and to hear perspectives and insights typically expressed only in the locker room.
“The Michigan Football Team will be the first to join the Wolverine+ platform. The first episode will be a live discussion and interactive fan Q&A with several captains of the football team on October 10th. One or more new episodes will drop each week throughout the remainder of the 2022 football season.
“‘This is the first platform that I have seen which authentically supports student-athletes and allows us to really connect with our fans to share who we are underneath the helmet,” said [Michigan senior quarterback] Cade McNamara. “I had a chance to use the platform this summer and it was an incredible experience and so well executed,’ referring to a docuseries called “The Leader” that was produced by REVEL Moments and Valiant.

“The long-term vision for Wolverine+ is to onboard additional men’s and women’s athletic teams at Michigan and to become the leading NIL platform in the country allowing fans to support and engage with college athletes. Wolverine+ also aligns with an NIL strategy that, while compensating featured student-athletes individually for their appearances, also allows all team members who promote the platform to share equally in the profits generated from the platform.
“Valiant Management Group, founded by former University of Michigan football player, Jared Wangler, is a leading NIL sports marketing firm representing Michigan student-athletes. REVEL Moments is a Michigan-based company, founded by Michigan alumni and former senior leaders of the technology consulting firm Accenture, aimed to transform how athletes and fans engage globally.
“’We are thrilled to bring the best fan engagement technology in the country to the University of Michigan. What excites our team the most about Wolverine+ is providing a platform for meaningful conversations between current student-athletes, fans, and successful University of Michigan alumni. We believe these conversations have the potential to inspire viewers to be the Leaders and Best in their daily lives. Additionally, Wolverine+ is an effective avenue for a wider cross-section of fans and alumni to financially support student-athletes in this new era of collegiate athletics,’ stated Wangler.
“’REVEL Moments’ mission is to deliver powerful, human connections between athletes and fans. To be entrusted with bringing the passionate fans and dedicated student-athletes of the University of Michigan together is an incredible honor. We can’t wait to get started,’ shared Dean Brody, CEO of REVEL Moments.”
