WATCH: Michigan's win over Ryan Day, Buckeyes a springboard into the future
The Michigan Wolverines are still buzzing coming off of Saturday’s 13-10 win at Ohio State, its fourth straight in the rivalry. The victory has set into motion another existential crisis for head coach Ryan Day and Buckeye Nation, and served as an epilogue for some of the key fixtures of the Jim Harbaugh era and a springboard into whatever comes next for the program under Sherrone Moore.
TheWolverine.com’s Anthony Broome, Clayton Sayfie and Chris Balas discuss another win over Ohio State and all of the narratives around it, including Sayfie getting pepper sprayed, Sherrone Moore proving his doubters wrong, OSU’s identity crisis and much more.
“You go into the off-season with a completely different taste in your mouth,” Balas said on the show. “And I don’t care anymore what happens in the third-tier bowl game. You want to win, but to me, it’s an exhibition. There are going to be a ton of guys that sit out and that’s fine. I want to see some of the young guys play and they will. It’s different. It is what it is. It’s like a professional sport. And these guys have to look out for themselves. And I acknowledge that now with the understanding that if guys are not invited back on scholarship, you don’t owe anybody anything anymore if you’re getting paid. That’s just the way it is.
“But to me, you beat Michigan state, you beat Ohio state. So you’ve got bragging rights over your rivals and can play the game both ways.

“Davis Warren, I understand that he’s not the best quarterback to ever play at Michigan. It’s not his fault that he is who he is and that he’s in this position, but this guy wins in Columbus. I know that he had made a couple of mistakes but the guy made some huge throws on third down. It got to the point where he’ll be able to say that he won in Columbus when guys like Tom Brady, Denard Robinson guys like Chad Henny didn’t [beat Ohio State] and nobody will ever be able to take that away from him. So I’m thrilled for that kid.”
