Michigan is now ranked No. 26 in the 2023 On3 Consensus national team recruiting rankings after landing a commitment from Kansas City (Mo.) Park Hill athlete Kendrick Bell.

Bell committed to Michigan over an offer from UMass. At 6-foot-2, 170 pounds, Bell is ranked as the No. 53 quarterback and No. 1,008 overall recruit nationally this cycle, per the On3 Consensus. Bell also has the potential to play wide receiver or defensive back at the next level.

The Michigan Class

As a result of Bell’s commitment, the Wolverines have a total score of 88.331, placing them just behind Texas Tech, which has a score of 88.414.

Michigan is very much in play for On300 prospect like athlete Nyckoles Harbor, cornerback Jyaire Hill and offensive linemen Spence Fano, DJ Chester and Nathan Efobi as well as other top targets like Florida commit Aaron Gates, four-star defensive lineman Kayden McDonald, four-star wide receiver Karmello English and four-star offensive lineman Taliafi Ta’ala. And that means the Wolverines should move up the rankings soon.

U-M hosted a number of these prospects during the summer and for game days this fall.

The 15th member of the 2023 Michigan recruiting class, Bell joins On300 offensive tackle Evan Link, On300 EDGE Enow Etta, consensus four-star offensive lineman Amir Herring, four-star EDGE Collins Acheampong, four-star running back Cole Cabana, four-star linebacker Semaj Bridgeman, four-star tight end Deakon Tonielli, three-star wide receivers Semaj Morgan and Fredrick Moore, three-star defensive lineman Brooks Bahr, three-star running back Benjamin Hall, three-star EDGE Aymeric Koumba, three-star tight end Zack Marshall and three-star kicker Adam Samaha.

U-M is ranked No. 4 in the Big Ten, trailing Ohio State, Penn State and Michigan State.
