Where top remaining Michigan recruiting targets sit in updated On3 rankings
Michigan is looking to finish with a Top 10 recruiting class for the first time since the 2022 cycle.
The Wolverines entered the day ranked No. 10 and are still in play for some highly touted targets, including five-star Belleville (Mich.) High quarterback Bryce Underwood.
On3 updated its rankings for the 2025 class on Mondary afternoon, and Underwood remained the No. 1 overall prospect in America. At 6-foot-4, 214 pounds, Underwood is a tall pocket passer with elite arm strength and the ability to make plays with his legs.
Underwood, who is considered by most as a generational talent, committed to LSU over Michigan in January. However, the Wolverines are making a big NIL run with just a couple of weeks before signing day.
As The Wolverine recently reported, Michigan is prepared to offer an NIL deal worth around $10.5 million, per sources close to the situation. Underwood has yet to make a recruiting visit to Michigan this fall but has been on campus many times in the past.
Landing Underwood would solidify a Top 10 ranking for U-M this cycle.
Michigan is also in the mix for Top 100 Owings Mills (Md.) McDonogh cornerback Brandon Finney, who moved up one spot from No. 77 to No. 78. Finney is slated to make an official visit to Michigan this weekend after making an unofficial visit in September.
However, it is unclear if the Oregon commit will still make the trip. After all, Finney is trending heavily to Penn State, which has a 96.1 percent chance of flipping him from the Ducks, per the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

The aforementioned Underwood isn’t the only LSU commit Michigan is working to flip before signing day. The Wolverines hosted Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman wide receiver Derek Meadows for an unofficial visit earlier this month.
If Michigan can land Underwood, it could be in a prime position to win over Meadows, who dropped one spot from No. 151 to No. 152. However, Notre Dame appears to be in a better spot right now, while LSU is set to get him back on campus next weekend.
Another On300 wide receiver Michigan is hoping to flip before signing day is UCF pledge Jayvan Boggs, who moved up three spots from No. 265 to No. 262. The Cocoa (Fla.) High prospect just notched an offer from U-M this weekend following a visit from head coach Sherrone Moore and offensive coordinator Kirk Campbell.
Boggs is a teammate of 2026 Michigan quarterback commit Brady Hart and is looking at making an official visit this weekend.
Michigan is also in the mix for several other four-star and three star prospects as it looks to put a bow on Moore’s first class as head coach.
