Miller Recruitment
Miller released a Top 5 of Kentucky, Michigan, Rutgers, Syracuse and Wisconsin earlier this offseason.
While Miller was originally listed as a cornerback by On3, Michigan is actually recruiting the versatile athlete on the offensive side of the ball as a wide receiver. U-M hosted him for an unofficial visit back in the spring of last year and made a strong first impression.
“It was great visit,” Miller said. “I definitely liked the practice. It was great seeing the guys bonding and correcting each other for their faults. Another thing that stood out was the wide receiver meeting. Everyone was giving each other great feedback. It was cool to see how a team of that caliber works together.”
Both Michigan wide receivers coach Ron Bellamy and area recruiter Grant Newsome stopped by to see him during the winter contact period.
“(Bellamy) is a very open and honest guy,” Miller said. “We mesh well. We get along. He’s genuine. He’s a nice guy. I like what he’s doing and how he’s developing. It was great to have him at the school. We had a chance to reconnect and just catch up. That’s my guy.”
