Sprague Recruitment

Sprague committed to Michigan and offensive line coach Sherrone Moore last April after his unofficial visit for the spring game.

The Kansas City (Mo.) Rockhurst product chose the Wolverines over notable offers from Notre Dame, Missouri, LSU, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Oregon, Penn State, USC, Arkansas, Ole Miss and Colorado.

“It got to a point where I was comparing everything to Michigan,” Sprague told The Wolverine after his pledge. “At the end of the day, I knew it was going to be Michigan. It just felt like home. Going back up there for the spring game with some of the guys made it that much better. I decided to pull the trigger, and now, I can help recruit other guys. Obviously, they have the best offensive line. Back-to-back Joe Moore Awards, you can’t really go wrong with that.”

Sprague signed with Michigan last month. He is set to arrive in Ann Arbor and enroll in June.

At 6-foot-8, 285 pounds, Sprague is ranked as the No. 6 offensive tackle and No. 98 overall prospect nationally, per the On3 Industry Ranking. He is also ranked as the No. 5 overall prospect in the state of Missouri for this cycle.
