Michigan landed a commitment from three-star Nappanee (Ind.) Northwood cornerback Jo’Ziah Edmond on Tuesday night.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pounder picked Michigan shortly after backing out of his verbal pledge to Purdue.

The Wolverine’s EJ Holland shares his thoughts on Edmond and what his commitment means for Michigan in the video below.

Michigan cornerbacks coach Steve Clinkscale and defensive coordinator Jesse Minter pushed and earned Edmond’s pledge.

Edmond is ranked as the No. 26 athlete and No. 645 overall recruit nationally, per the On3 Industry Ranking. He is also ranked as the No. 7 overall prospect in the state of Indiana
