Michigan became the team to beat for Ishmail after extending an offer last month. The Wolverines made a push on his official visit last weekend and earned a pledge soon after.
It was there where Ishmail really got an in-depth look at the program and fell in love.
“The visit (to Michigan) was wonderful,” Ishmail told The Wolverine. “It was so great and there were so many great people up there who wanted me to be great. Meeting all of the coaches and players was great. But it was also the area around the college and the entire community. Michigan is the number one public university in the country. I love the academics there.”
