Michigan landed a commitment from Top 100 Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day quarterback Jadyn Davis on Friday afternoon.

The 6-foot, 190-pounder picked Michigan over fellow finalists Clemson, North Carolina, Ohio State and Tennessee.

The Wolverine’s EJ Holland shares his thoughts on Davis and what his commitment means for Michigan in the video below.

Davis’ decision came just weeks following an unofficial visit to Michigan. Both head coach Jim Harbaugh and quarterbacks coach Kirk Campbell pushed and earned his pledge. Davis made his decision public live on ESPN’s SportsCenter.

Davis led Providence Day School to a 12-1 record and a state title as he passed for 3,425 yards and 43 touchdowns in 2022, completing 221-of-305 attempts (72.5%). Davis earned state Player of the Year honors from Max Preps and High School Football America.

At 6-foot, 190 pounds, Davis is ranked as the No. 4 quarterback and No. 26 overall recruit nationally, per the On3 Industry Rankings. He is also ranked as the No. 1 overall prospect in the state of North Carolina.

Davis has an On3 NIL Valuation of $557K with 36K followers across all platforms. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Michigan has 10 commits in its 2024 recruiting class — Top 100 Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day quarterback Jadyn Davis, Top 100 Cincinnati (Ohio) Moeller running back Jordan Marshall, On300 Harper Woods (Mich.) High defensive back Jacob Oden, On300 Nashville (Tenn.) Ensworth linebacker Mason Curtis, On300 Bellevue (Wash.) High tight end Hogan Hansen, four-star Avon (Ohio) High offensive lineman Luke Hamilton, three-star Cincinnati (Ohio) St. Xavier defensive lineman Ted Hammond, three-star Wallingford (Conn.) Choate Rosemary Hall defensive lineman Manuel Beigel, three-star Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward offensive lineman Ben Roebuck and three-star South Park (Pa.) High linebacker Zach Ludwig.

The class entered the day ranked No. 8 nationally in the On3 industry rankings and No. 2 in the Big Ten behind Ohio State.
