On3 released its updated rankings for the 2024 recruiting class this week. The list featured plenty of movement for Michigan commits.

The Wolverine’s EJ Holland breaks down the five highest rated U-M verbal pledges in the video below.

The highest rated of the commits is Cincinnati (Ohio) Archbishop Moeller running back Jordan Marshall, who checked in at No. 31 nationally. Marshall is also ranked as the No. 2 running back in the country and the No. 2 overall recruit in the state of Ohio this cycle.

Here is what Holland had to say about Marshall, who rushed for 1,961 yards and 30 touchdowns as a junior last season and committed to Michigan in March.

“If the rankings ended today, Marshall would actually be in that five-star range,” Holland said. “He’s a guy that can come in and be an immediate difference maker. When you look at Blake Corum and Donovan Edwards, both could potentially be gone after this year. Obviously, Blake will be and Donovan could be. That would allow Jordan Marshall the opportunity to come in and be the bell cow right away as a true freshman. He’s more than capable of doing that. He has a stout build. He’s great between the tackles.”

Michigan has 26 commits in its 2024 recruiting class — Top 100 Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day quarterback Jadyn Davis, Top 100 Rochester (Mich.)
