Wolverine TV: Breaking down Top 100 Michigan OL commit Malakai Lee

Michigan landed a massive commitment in Top 100 Honolulu (Hawaii) Kamehameha offensive lineman Malakai Lee on Friday.
The Wolverine’s EJ Holland breaks down Lee in the video at the end of this story.
Lee Recruitment
Michigan extended an offer to Lee in June of last year during his first-ever visit to Ann Arbor.
Lee returned to Michigan on multiple occasions, including last weekend for his official visit. It was there where the Wolverines regained momentum in his recruitment.
Lee committed to Michigan over fellow finalists Alabama, Georgia and Texas. Both Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore and offensive line coach Grant Newsome played key roles in winning this recruitment.
Here is what Holland had to say about Lee.
“This is a big win for Michigan,” Holland said. “The Wolverines have been making Lee a top priority for more than a year and needed to come out on top. Michigan invested so many resources in Lee and needed to close with a true towering tackle this cycle. And that’s exactly what Lee is. He has a massive frame and could be a cornerstone along the offensive line. Beating out a trio of SEC programs only adds to this recruiting victory.”
At 6-foot-7, 310 pounds, Lee is ranked as the No. 9 offensive tackle and No. 85 overall recruit nationally, per On3. He is also ranked as the No. 1 overall prospect in the state of Hawaii this cycle.
