The Wolverine’s EJ Holland and Zach Libby discussed several Michigan recruiting topics on the Tuesday edition of The Wolverine Live recruiting show, including the latest on Top 100 Miami (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna safety Zaquan Patterson.

Watch and listen to Holland and Libby share the latest on Michigan recruiting above.

Latest on Patterson

Patterson is set to make his commitment on Saturday and has a final group of Auburn, Florida State, Miami, Michigan and Ohio State.

Here is what Holland had to say about his recruitment:

“I think Michigan is going to keep fighting here,” Holland said. “They are going to be in contact with Patterson all week long. You can bet that his teammate and good friend, Michigan commit Chris Ewald, is going to recruit him hard. Ewald’s father, Chris Sr., has been pro-Michigan and has obviously talked to Zaquan Patterson’s mother. From everything I gathered his two visits (to Michigan) in the summer really impressed Zaquan and his mom. I think she would be onboard with him leaving home. But with all that said, I still feel like Florida State has the edge going into the weekend.”

At 6-foot, 185 pounds, Patterson is ranked as the No. 3 safety and No. 80 overall recruit nationally, per the On3 Industry Ranking.
