The Wolverine’s EJ Holland covered several Michigan recruiting topics on the Tuesday edition of the The Wolverine Live show, including the race for Top 100 Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman wide receiver Derek Meadows.

Meadows Recruitment

Michigan extended an offer to Meadows this offseason and quickly became a contender in his recruitment.

The Wolverines hosted him for an unofficial visit in the spring and got him back on campus for an official visit last month.

Meadows has a final four of Alabama, Georgia, Michigan and Notre Dame. He was slated to make his decision last weekend but ultimately pushed things back to July 20.

Here is what Holland had to say about his recruitment.

“Michigan is continuing to work on him, as they should,” Holland said. “They aren’t wasting resources or time. The new decision date is July 20, so just keep working on him. You have the lead for Andrew Marsh and two guys committed. I know you originally planned to take three wide receivers, but you have nothing to lose by continuing to recruit him. Overall, Michigan is in it. They are continuing to battle and recruit him. But there is still plenty of work to do in coming days. I would still favor LSU and Notre Dame in that recruitment.”
