Wolverine TV: Five key Michigan recruits we saw on the road

Gray Recruitment
Gray notched an offer from Michigan last March and has high interest in the program early on in his recruiting process.
The Wolverines hosted Gray for his first unofficial visit back in the spring.
Michigan offensive line coach Grant Newsome is leading the way in this recruitment and saw him on the road during the evaluation period. Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore initially extended the offer to Gray and is still personally involved in his recruitment.
Here is what Holland had to say about Gray.
“Darius Gray is one of my favorite recruits in the 2026 recruiting class,” Holland said. “He’s a strong, physical interior offensive lineman who knows how to finish blocks. He loves putting people in the dirt. I think he has an argument as the best guard prospect in the country for next cycle. He could very well be a five-star prospect as a guard. Michigan got him on campus in the spring and is looking to get him back for another visit this offseason. South Carolina is considered the heavy leader early on. However, Gray told me he is taking his time with the process.”
Along with Michigan, Gray has offers from Alabama, Georgia, Miami, North Carolina, Penn State, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Wisconsin and a number of other major programs.
