Iheanacho Recruitment
Michigan put an offer on the table for Iheanacho this spring and has made him a top priority along the offensive line for next cycle.
U-M offensive line coach Grant Newsome is leading the way in this recruitment and is working to get Iheanacho on campus for his first visit soon. Iheanacho said he would like to make his way to Ann Arbor this winter or spring.
Here is what Holland had to say about Iheanacho.
“The first thing that pops out about Manny is his size,” Holland said. “He’s a legit 6-foot-7, 350 pounds. You can see he’s a towering tackle and a mountain of a man. But what makes him such an exciting prospect is that he’s only been playing football for a couple of years. He told me that two years ago, he didn’t even know what a kick step was. He does play high and is still very raw, but you can see the feet and athleticism to go along with his size. He has such a tremendous ceiling. Michigan is working to get him on campus for a visit this offseason and is in the mix.”
Along with Michigan, Iheanacho holds offers from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Miami, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas, USC and others.
