Four-star 2025 Michigan safety target Messiah Delhomme recorded several tackles and scored a touchdown en route to leading Newport News (Va.) Warwick to a 52-0 win over Hampton (Va.) Kecoughtan over the weekend.

The Wolverine’s EJ Holland was onsite and captured exclusive clips from the contest. Watch highlights of Delhomme in the video above.

Delhomme Recruitment

Delhomme doesn’t have an official top schools list, but it’s clear programs like Duke, Florida State, Michigan, Virginia Tech and West Virginia are making him a top priority for next cycle.

Michigan hosted Delhomme for the annual BBQ at The Big House at the end of July and made a huge impression on him and his family.

“I definitely enjoyed it a lot,” Delhomme said. “We saw the stadium and the campus, which was really nice. I like the coaching staff. We toured the facilities and the weight room. We went over nutrition and academics. It was a fun time.”

Delhomme is hoping to make a return visit to Michigan at some point this fall.

At 6-foot-1, 200 pounds, Delhomme is ranked as the No. 21 safety and No. 256 overall prospect in the country, per the On3 Industry Rankings. He is also ranked as the No. 6 overall recruit in the state of Virginia for next cycle.

Michigan currently has the lead for Delhomme on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine with a 69.8 percent chance of landing him. East Carolina is in second place with a 5.6 percent chance of landing him. Virginia is in third place with a 4.8 percent chance of landing him.
