Four-star Michigan running back commit Micah Ka’apana received 4 carries for 62 yards and 2 touchdowns in Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman’s 49-7 win on Friday.

The Wolverine’s Zach Libby was onsite and captured exclusive clips from the contest. Watch highlights of Ka’apana in the video above.

Ka’apana Recruitment

Ka’apana committed to Michigan a week after his official visit on June 9. He chose the Wolverines over other notable offers from Nebraska, Oklahoma State, Utah, Arizona State, BYU, Washington State, Hawaii, UNLV and New Mexico State.

During the annual late July BBQ at The Big House, Ka’apana returned to Ann Arbor and received one-on-one instruction from running backs coach Mike Hart.

“(Hart) is very outgoing,” Ka’apana said. “Like, whatever is on his mind, he’s going to say it. I like that about him. As a coach, he’s really on his game. Everything comes down to the little details with him. I can’t wait to take advantage of his coaching.”

At 5-foot-11, 195 pounds, Ka’apana is ranked as the No. 30 overall running back nationally and No. 1 player in Nevada, according to On3. The On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four primar recruiting media services, lists Ka’apana as the No. 427 prospect in the country.
