Wolverine TV: Game clips of Michigan commit Manuel Beigel
The Wolverine’s EJ Holland was in New Jersey over the weekend and had a chance to see 2024 Michigan commit Manuel Beigel in game action.
Beigel was recruited as a defensive lineman but got the start at right tackle and helped lead Wallingford (Conn.) Choate Rosemary Hall to a 37-0 win over Lawrenceville (N.J.) The Lawrenceville School on Saturday afternoon.
This contest marked the first high school game in the United States for Beigel, who enrolled at Choate Rosemary Hall after playing at the club level in Germany.

Athletes from across Europe are quickly becoming highly touted recruits on the football field and have caught the attention of U-M and several other Power Five programs, thanks in large part to Brandon Collier.
A former CFL defensive lineman, Collier founded PPI Recruits in 2016 as a way to get international prospects more exposure. Fast forward six years, and PPI Recruits has become a phenomenon as more than 100 of Collier’s pupils have received opportunities to play at the next level.

Beigel trained closely with Collier in Europe and immediately caught his attention.
“Manuel has played soccer for most of his life, so he has really good feet,” Collier said. “He’s right at about 6-foot-5, 280 pounds, so he’s a big kid that can move around. He’s really athletic and ran a 4.9 40 this summer. It’ll be exciting to see what he’s going to become in two years.”
Beigel camped with Michigan in June and earned an offer on the spot from defensive line coach Mike Elston. He committed to the Wolverines over an offer from Central Michigan just a few weeks later.
Beigel is not yet ranked at this time.
Beigel is part of a two-man 2024 Michigan recruiting class that also features On300 Nashville (Tenn.) Ensworth linebacker Mason Curtis.
