Wolverine TV: Game clips of Michigan DL commit Owen Wafle
Three-star 2024 Michigan defensive line commit Owen Wafle recorded multiple tackles for loss and helped lead Princeton (N.J.) Hun School to a dominant 52-6 win over Oakdale (Conn.) St. Thomas More on Saturday afternoon.
The Wolverine’s EJ Holland was onsite and captured exclusive clips from the contest. Watch highlights of Wafle in the video above.
Wafle Recruitment
Wafle was committed to Notre Dame for a year before Michigan made a strong push late in the spring. The Wolverines gave him a lot to think about and eventually flipped him from the Irish following his June official visit.
Wafle has remained solid with his verbal pledge and is still happy he made the switch.
“It wasn’t even a question,” Wafle said. “I just wanted to do it in-person with Coach (Jim) Harbaugh. I went on my visit, met with Coach Harbaugh and committed. That was all she wrote. I’m not going anywhere. I’m very comfortable with Michigan. I love all the guys committed with me. The coaches are awesome and fun to be around.”
Wafle is looking to make a return visit to Ann Arbor when Michigan takes on rival Ohio State in late November.
At 6-foot-2, 267 pounds, Wafle is ranked as the No. 40 defensive lineman and No. 423 overall prospect in the country, per the On3 Industry Ranking. He is also ranked as the No. 8 overall recruit in the state of New Jersey.
