Michigan athlete commit Mason Curtis was a force on Friday night as he helped lead Nashville (Tenn.) Ensworth to a 17-7 win over Memphis (Tenn.) Christian Brothers.

The Wolverine’s EJ Holland was onsite and captured exclusive clips from the contest. Watch highlights of Curtis in the video above.

Curtis Recruitment

An On300 prospect, Curtis committed to Michigan in June of last year and has remained fully locked in with the Wolverines throughout the process.

Curtis picked U-M over offers from Boston College, Colorado, Kentucky, Louisville, Michigan State, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vanderbilt and others.

“Obviously, Michigan has a prestigious football program,” Curtis said. “But it’s everything outside of that. They are a great academic school. I can get a great degree and also go pro.”

Michigan co-defensive coordinator Steve Clinkscale led the way in Curtis’ recruitment and is a big reason he jumped onboard so early.

“He’s always going to be him,” Curtis said. “There is no change. He’s going to be authentic and raw. Our conversations went well. He talked about how our class has been building and how I was able to help put it all together.”
