Wolverine TV: Game clips of Michigan WR commit Channing Goodwin
Michigan wide receiver commit Channing Goodwin recorded 150 yards and two touchdowns in his senior season opener, leading Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day to a 42-35 win over Rock Hill (S.C.) Northwestern.
The Wolverine’s EJ Holland was onsite and captured exclusive clips from the contest. Watch highlights of Goodwin in the video above.
Goodwin recruitment
A three-star prospect, Goodwin was considered a Michigan lean for the majority of the process and committed to the Wolverines in May. He picked U-M over offers from Maryland, Missouri, NC State, South Carolina, Virginia Tech and others.
Goodwin’s father is former Michigan offensive lineman Jonathan Goodwin, who went on to win a Super Bowl with the New Orleans Saints and played for Jim Harbaugh during his time with the San Francisco 49ers.
At 6-foot-1, 175 pounds, Goodwin is ranked as the No. 82 wide receiver and No. 486 overall prospect nationally, per the On3 Industry Ranking. He is also ranked as the No. 15 overall recruit in the state of North Carolina this cycle.
