Wolverine TV: Game clips of Michigan WR commit Semaj Morgan
The Wolverine’s EJ Holland was in Detroit over the weekend seeing three-star Michigan wide receiver commit Semaj Morgan in game action.
Morgan gained 40 yards of total offense and made several tackles despite West Bloomfield (Mich.) High’s 38-13 loss to Detroit (Mich.) Cass Tech on Friday night.
Watch game clips from the contest and get Holland’s analysis below.
Morgan committed to Michigan last December over offers from Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Marshall, Maryland, Missouri, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Purdue, West Virginia and others.
Morgan has remained solid throughout the process and is a vocal leader this cycle.
“It’s really self-explanatory when it comes to recruiting guys,” Morgan said. “I just tell them to come on. The 2023 class is going to be special. We already have me, Cole (Cabana), Benjamin (Hall), Deakon (Tonielli) and Fredrick (Moore). Those are some good pieces for the offense. Why not come and turn it up?”
Morgan is a teammate of fellow 2023 Michigan commit Amir Herring. He is also a former teammate of current Wolverines Donovan Edwards and Makari Paige and won a state championship under U-M assistant Ron Bellamy, who was previously the head coach at West Bloomfield.
