Wolverine TV: Game clips of On300 Michigan EDGE commit Devon Baxter
On300 Michigan EDGE commit Devon Baxter recorded three tackles and a fumble recovery in Brandywine (Md.) Gwynn Park’s 29-13 loss to Upper Marlboro (Md.) Douglass on Monday.
The Wolverine’s EJ Holland was onsite and captured exclusive clips from the contest. Watch highlights of Delhomme in the video above.
Baxter Recruitment
Baxter committed to Michigan in June shortly following his official visit and has remained solid over the last few months.
He sided with the Wolverines over offers from Boston College, Duke, Maryland, Penn State, Pitt, Rutgers, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Tennessee and others.
“It was actually the commits that pushed me to commit,” Baxter said. “They have a great group of guys with a really strong bond. They talk to each other every day. They had that family feeling going. It was just a matter of me feeling them out. They told me they really wanted me and that we could be a national championship team.
“They have five offensive line commits. Why not compete against the best every day in practice? That will only help me become the best.”
Baxter is hoping to make a return visit to Michigan for a game at some point this fall.
At 6-foot-5, 235 pounds, Baxter is ranked as the No. 20 EDGE and No. 199 overall prospect in the country, per On3. He is also ranked as the No. 3 overall recruit in the state of Maryland.
