On300 2025 Michigan offensive line target Rowan Byrne was in action for New Rochelle (N.Y.) Iona Prep in their 38-7 loss to Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic over the weekend.

The Wolverine’s EJ Holland was onsite and captured exclusive clips from the contest. Watch highlights of Byrne in the video above.

Byrne Recruitment

Byrne doesn’t have an official top schools list but has made it clear that Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Wisconsin are some of the biggest players in his recruitment early on.

U-M hosted Byrne for two unofficial visits in the summer, including for the annual BBQ at The Big House at the end of July.

“It went really well,” Byrne said. “I loved it from the second I stepped on campus. When you walk into the facility, you go into the main lobby and there is a big hall by the stairs. You can see all the All-Americans. When I saw that, I was like ‘this feels like home.’ It was a great day. Last time was more focused on learning about the program. This time, my dad was on campus, and he absolutely loved it. I also got to work with Coach (Sherrone) Moore in a 1-on-1 setting. It was fantastic.”

Byrne is hoping to make a return visit to Michigan at some point this fall.

At 6-foot-6, 290 pounds, Byrne is ranked as the No. 15 offensive tackle and No. 161 overall prospect in the country, per the On3 Industry Rankings. He is also ranked as the No. 1 overall recruit in the state of New York for next cycle.

Rutgers currently has the lead for Byrne on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine with a 28.8 percent chance of landing him. Michigan is in fourth place with a 7.4 percent chance of landing him.
