Mallory Recruitment
Michigan extended an offer to Mallory in April. New running backs coach Tony Alford recruited Mallory during his time at Ohio State and extended the scholarship shortly after arriving in Ann Arbor.
Alford has a strong relationship with Mallory and those around him, including his uncle, Richard Alexis, who played for Alford at Washington.
Mallory made his first visit to Michigan this summer and enjoyed his time on campus.
“It was a wonderful experience,” Mallory said. “Getting to be around the coaching staff and touring the facility was great. You walk around the building, and the staff shows genuine love and care. They really want you to be there… Speaking to Coach (Sherrone) Moore was probably the best thing. We had that 1-on-1 time, and he let me know that I am a priority in the 2026 class.
“He said they are going to do whatever they can to get me there. He said I’m going to be a Michigan Wolverine in 2026. He’s just a great guy. He’s very genuine. I could tell was telling the truth. He has my best interest at heart.”
Mallory is set to make a return visit to Michigan on Nov. 23 for the game against Northwestern. Right now, Mallory has a Top 3 of Michigan, Miami and Notre Dame. He is looking to make his decision by Jan. 1.
