Rising 2025 Michigan linebacker target Justin Rowe played everything from wide receiver to safety to kick returner to holder in Asheville (N.C.) School’s 20-7 loss to Arden (N.C.) Christ School over the weekend.

The Wolverine’s EJ Holland was onsite and captured exclusive clips from the contest. Watch highlights of Rowe in the video above.

Rowe Recruitment

A three-star prospect, Rowe notched an offer from Michigan in April and has already been on campus for two unofficial visits.

Rowe’s latest trip to Ann Arbor came in late July for the annual BBQ at The Big House event. And it’s safe to say Michigan made a strong impression on the versatile athlete.

“The visit was great,” Rowe said. “The highlight was seeing the coaching staff and having an opportunity to learn techniques there with the linebackers. It was good work. The campus tour was nice as well. It was great to see the community surrounding the university.”

Rowe, who is originally from Canada, has only been playing football for a few years and starts at safety for his high school team. However, Michigan is recruiting him as an athletic linebacker in the same mold as 2024 commit Jaden Smith.

Rowe is planning to make his way back to Michigan before the end of the season.

Michigan has the lead on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine with a 69.7 percent chance of landing him.
