Hart Recruitment

Michigan extended an offer to Hart this offseason after his impressive performance at the Elite 11 regional in Orlando in the spring.

Hart quickly ascended up the quarterback board and became the priority for the Wolverines in the 2026 recruiting class.

Hart made his first visit to Michigan in June and enjoyed his time on campus as he bonded with new head coach Sherrone Moore and lead recruiter Kirk Campbell. The Wolverines were able to earn his commitment soon after he departed from Ann Arbor.

Holland was the first to put in a prediction and had this to say about Hart as a prospect.

“When you look at the film, you see a big, athletic pocket passer,” Holland said. “He’s 6-foot-5, 185 pounds. He’s really filling out his frame nicely. He can throw the deep ball. He has a lot of zip on his passes. This is the best arm talent that Michigan has landed since JJ McCarthy. Hart comes from a baseball background as well. His father, Alex, played for the Pittsburgh Pirates. That upside is still there as he continues to develop. Hart is also young for his grade. He’s only 16 years old and will continue to add plenty of weight to his frame. He has a great mix of a high floor and a high ceiling.”

Hart threw for 3,759 yards and 41 touchdowns en route to leading Cocoa to a Florida state championship as a sophomore.
