The Wolverine’s EJ Holland breaks down five key remaining Michigan targets in the 2024 recruiting class, including Top 100 Georgia wide receiver commit Nitro Tuggle.

Tuggle Recruitment

Michigan still has a need for a big-bodied wide receiver and is making Tuggle its top priority with around a month left before the early singing period.

The Wolverines landed a commitment from Tuggle’s teammate, Jo’Ziah Edmond, in the summer and are set to host him for an official visit later this month for the game against Ohio State.

Here is what Holland had to say about his recruitment.

“Obviously he’s very highly touted and fits the description of what Michigan is looking for in its last wide receiver spot,” Holland said. “He’s that big body that would complement I’Marion Stewart and Channing Goodwin. Georgia just had him on campus and are doing their best to keep him. But Georgia has a lot of talent at the wide receiver position, so I don’t think they’ll necessarily dish out NIL dollars, which would help Michigan. Michigan is closer to home, the opportunity to play early is there and, on top of that, his teammate Jo’Ziah Edmond is already committed to Michigan and has been recruiting him hard.”

At 6-foot-3, 185 pounds, Tuggle is listed as the No. 97 overall prospect and No. 18 wide receiver in the country, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four primary recruiting media services. He’s also the No. 2 ranked prospect in Indiana.
