TheWolverine.com’s Trevor Ritchie and EJ Holland are back to discuss the biggest storylines surrounding Michigan football recruiting, including five-star quarterback target Dante Moore, Notre Dame safety commit Peyton Bowen and a slew of upcoming satellite camps.

Holland on Michigan QB target Dante Moore visiting Ann Arbor

Holland: “A lot of people were like, ‘Oh, Dante’s coming in for an unofficial. They must be treating this like an official visit.’ That’s not necessarily how it played out, obviously. […] I think that’ll happen maybe later on in the summer, but Dante’s comfortable taking this all the way to August and maybe beyond that. So, I think Michigan’s kind of finding the right approach every month. They’ve gotten him on campus every month. I think that the longer this goes, the better for Michigan.”

“The other thing to note with that is – other schools are going to start to take quarterbacks. You’re going to start to see quarterback dominos fall. Not everybody is going to wait for Dante Moore to make a decision. Michigan will always wait for Dante Moore to make a decision.”

Michigan HC Jim Harbaugh shows off his chicken coop to Notre Dame commit Peyton Bowen

Ritchie: I saw earlier this week you posted about, of course the push that Coach Clink is making there, but also Jim Harbaugh showing off his chicken coop if I read that correctly…”

Holland: “That’s true. Harbaugh has done this the last cycle and a half, two cycles where he likes to show off his chicken coop and his, I guess, farmer lifestyle away from football which usually plays well. Who isn’t surprised to see chickens over FaceTime?

Ritchie: “So you think it’s an effective tactic there?”

Holland: “I think it loosens things up. I mean, if I were a recruit and Jim Harbaugh showed me some chickens… first off, he’s already a weird guy. So, if he’s showing me some chickens, I’m sure it makes for some interesting conversations.”
