Wolverine TV: The latest on Top 100 Michigan WR target Gatlin Bair
Several topics were discussed on The Wolverine live Tuesday recruiting show with recruiting analysts EJ Holland and Zach Libby, including the latest on Top 100 Burley (Idaho) Senior wide receiver and priority 2024 Michigan target Gatlin Bair.
Bair Recruitment
Bair made two visits to Michigan last year, most recently for the game against Ohio State in late November.
Michigan led considerably for Bair on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM), until Monday when Holland logged in a prediction in favor of Oregon, which has pressed heavily Bair out west these past few months.
Here’s what Holland had to say about the situation.
“With all of the moving parts, with Dan Lanning committed to staying at Oregon long term, and Bair wanting that stability, that was the reason behind my pick for Oregon,” Holland said. “Now, is this one completely over? That’s the question a lot of people have been asking. I’ve been told that Ron Bellamy has/had a flight scheduled to see Gatlin (on Wednesday). Now, the status of that flight is up in the air. It’ll be very interesting to see fi Bellamy makes his way to Burley tomorrow. Even if Bellamy does make it to Burley, I’m not sure what else he could possibly tell Bair to get the momentum back in Michigan’s favor.”
At 6-foot-1.5, 195 pounds, Bair is listed as the No. 30 overall prospect and No. 7 wide receiver in the country, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four primary recruiting media services. He’s also the No. 1 player in Idaho.
