Michigan press conference notes

Below are among the topics that were discussed at Schembechler Hall Wednesday afternoon:

• Moore assessed the Michigan offensive line, which has had some moving pieces due to some minor injuries. He said it will take time for them to round into form. He also discussed deep throws with J.J. McCarthy at quarterback — U-M has thrown more when he’s in, but Moore said that had more to do with the defense the Wolverines were facing than anything else.

• Clinkscale, as he often does, expressed his desire for the Michigan defense to create more turnovers. The Wolverines had two against Colorado State but none in the next game versus Hawai’i. He also broke down what has made Mike Sainristil’s switch from receiver to nickel back a success so far.
