Toodle Recruitment

Toodle has been committed to Auburn since July of last year. However, the Alabama native is keeping his options open and making a handful of other official visits this summer.

Michigan extended an offer to Toodle last spring and got him on campus for his first visit in April. The Wolverines made a positive move during his stay in Ann Arbor and are now set to get him back on campus for an official visit on May 30.

Michigan linebackers coach Brian Jean-Mary, who has strong connections in the south, is leading the way in this recruitment and is making Toodle one of his top overall priorities this cycle.

Here is what Holland had to say about the Toodle recruitment.

“Michigan is working extremely hard to flip Toodle away from Auburn,” Holland said. “Right now, I would say Michigan and Georgia are in the best spot to steal him before the end of the cycle. However, Auburn will be tough to beat here. Auburn is close to home, and the Tigers sent two staff members to see him when I visited him at his school. Auburn is definitely working hard to keep him in the class. With that said, Michigan is doing everything right in this recruitment and can once again move the needle on his official visit.”

At 6-foot-3, 220 pounds, Toodle is ranked as the No. 12 linebacker and No. 188 overall prospect nationally, per the On3 Industry Ranking. He is also ranked as the No. 11 overall recruit in the state of Alabama.

Michigan has five commits in its 2026 recruiting class — Top 100 Newberry Park (Calif.) High quarterback Brady Smigiel, On300 Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin cornerback Brody Jennings, three-star Cartersville (Ga.) Cass offensive lineman Bear McWhorter, three-star Washington (D.C.) St. John’s EDGE Tariq Boney and three-star Dallas (Texas) Parish Episcopal wide receiver Jaylen Pile.

Michigan entered the day with the No. 27 ranked 2026 recruiting class nationally, per the On3 Industry team recruiting rankings. Michigan is also ranked No. 8 in the Big Ten. USC currently has the top class in the conference.

Michigan also has the No. 10 ranked transfer portal class this cycle, per the On3 transfer portal index.
