Michigan hosted 2024 Springfield (Ohio) High four-star cornerback Aaron Scott Jr. for an unofficial visit this past weekend in what was his second time back in Ann Arbor since late-January when he attended a Junior Day event.

I feel like (the visit) definitely boosted them up on my list,” Scott told The Wolverine. I had a great time. I got to see the coaches and see how they roll with the players on the field and in meetings. It definitely helped them a lot.”

Receiving the opportunity to watch the defensive backs work under co-defensive coordinator Steve Clinkscale in practice helped solidify Michigan’s position as a main contender for Scott, who’s been made the top target at the position alongside fellow Ohio native and Top 100 standout Bryce West.

(Clinkscale and I) have a great relationship,” Scott said. We talk every other day. We talk about football and life outside of football. We have a great connection.”

At 6-foot-1 and 180 pounds, Scott is ranked as the No. 11 overall recruit in the country, No. 2 cornerback nationally, and No. 1 rising junior in the state of Ohio, according to On3.com

Scott has an On3 NIL Valuation of $115K with 4,500 combined followers across Twitter and Instagram. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

There are nine verbal commits in Michigan’s 2024 recruiting class with four hailing from Ohio – Top 100 Cincinnati (Ohio) Archbishop Moeller running back Jordan Marshall, On300 Harper Woods (Mich.) High defensive back Jacob Oden, On300 Nashville (Tenn.) Ensworth linebacker Mason Curtis, On300 Bellevue (Wash.) High tight end Hogan Hansen, consensus four-star Avon (Ohio) High interior offensive lineman Luke Hamilton, three-star Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward offensive tackle Ben Roebuck, three-star Wallingford (Conn.) Choate Rosemary Hall defensive lineman Manuel Beigel and three-star South Park (Pa.) High linebacker Zach Ludwig.

The class is currently ranked No. 8 nationally in the On3 Consensus Rankings and No. 2 in the Big Ten behind Ohio State, jumping into the top ten following back-to-back commitments from Marshall and Roebuck on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week, respectively.
